Comment client is a program managing comments in your blog. To easiest way to manage the comments is to do so via administration panel. With Comment Client you ca have direct access to the comments database on your blog with no need to visit Wordpress for every comment. Comment client is very much like your regular email client. The only difference is that emails are comments on your blog. You can do all the usual things with them: read, edit, create, delete, reply, approve or mark as spam.

Comment client is a desktop Windows application. Comment client supports all versions of Windows: from 98 to Vista inclusive. There is also portable version of Comment Client available:
http://commentclient.com/download/wpcommentclient.zip

which does not require installation and can be run from a USB flash drive anywhere you have an internet connection.

Intuitively and simply organized the Comment client allows moderation of comments: just select a comment in the list and right click: a context menu wil allow you to approve, hold, mark as spam, delete, or edit.

If you hover mouse pointer over comment list the hint window shows full content of the comment.

Comment editor has an option to edit html tags and has editable browser where one of the most important features is a spell-checker both English and Russian.

Comment client can easily manage several blogs at the same time. Each blog account is organized as a tree you know from you mail client: at the top level
are fresh comments (inbox), which has subfolders:

  • “Outgoing” - a comment that you have written or edited, but have not yet sent to the blog.
  • “Moderate” - get there if their comments has a a pending moderation mark or at the time of receipt of new notes, if checked “Sort by folders incoming
  • “Spam” – if the message was flagged as spam by system or yourself
  • “Deleted” – Where deleted comments are placed. If you delete the comments from a folder, “Deleted”, they will be placed in the Windows Recycle Bin
  • “Archive” - a folder where you can move comments from other folders when they become too many, which is important for popular blogs/ It is also possible
to move comments from ‘Archive’ back to the Inbox

You can drag and drop comments from one folder to another or copy them.

If you have any ideas on the improvement of comment client, I will give them due consideration and but will appreciate your feedback.
