Seal the Deal achievement in Destiny 2 (2023)

A Guide to all six Seals that came with Forsaken.

This achievement can only be earned from obtaining one of these Seals: Cursebreaker, Dredgen, Rivensbane, Unbroken, Chronicler, or Wayfarer.
If the name of the seal that you are earning/have earned is not one of the six listed above, the achievement will not unlock. This is because this achievement is tied to the first expansion of the game, Forsaken (released in Year 2), and so is coded to unlock only for seals that were released when Forsaken came out.
Please note that Chronicler and Wayfarer are no longer obtainable.

Of all the titles listed above here, the only one I don't have is Unbroken (I hate competitive PvP, so I'm stuck at 7/9 triumphs complete). As such, the guides below for each seal are written based off of personal experience earning each of these triumphs. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask in the comments below.

EDIT 8/29/2022: With the start of Season 18 (Season of Plunder), there are no changes to any of the seals listed below. If you're working on the Unbroken seal and haven't achieved a Glory rank of Legend at least twice now, it will be impossible to earn the title at this point as it is being retired come Season 19.

EDIT 5/26/2022: With the start of Season 17 (Season of the Haunted), there are no changes to any of the seals listed below. Be aware that if you are working towards the Unbroken title, that you only have Seasons 17 and 18 to work on it before it is retired come Season 19. If you haven't already reached Glory rank Legend in competitive multiplayer at least once in a previous season, then don't bother with this title as you won't be able to get it at this point. Cursebreaker and Dredgen are the easier titles to get for this achievement, so I'd go after those. Given the changes to Gambit last season, I'd venture to say that Dredgen is harder to complete now than it used to be, which makes Cursebreaker probably the better option. You also get to learn a lot about the Dreaming City, which holds a lot of interesting lore.

EDIT 4/8/2022: Per This Week At Bungie (TWAB, "The Unbroken Seal and title will be retired with the launch of Season 19, and will be no longer available to earn. Season 16 is the last chance for players to begin making progress on associated Triumphs in order to earn the Seal, including reaching Glory Rank: Legend in three different Seasons." So if you're looking to earn the Unbroken title, you better get started now.

EDIT 2/23/2022: Updated drop-rates of stuff in the Dreaming City to reflect those in the game. For the Cursebreaker title, the Ghost shell, Sparrow, and Ship each now have a 20% drop rate as opposed to ~5%. Do note that this is likely the easiest seal to obtain, as the majority can be done solo. See DRUNKZ 27 in the comments section for his experience working on Cursebreaker.

EDIT 2/22/2022: Year 5 of Destiny 2 kicks off today with the release of The Witch Queen and the start of Season 16 - Season of the Risen. They are finally getting around to doing a complete rework of Gambit, see here for details: In short, there do not appear to be any changes to triumphs for the Dredgen title. However, since they removed the primevil named Voice of Riven (looks like a big meatball) because its abilities now interfere with the changes made, the Malfeasance quest will now start on your very first primevil defeated. Additionally, the Tangled Shore destination has now been vaulted, see here: As such, Bungie has updated the Wish-Ender quest triumph accordingly (see patch notes here:

EDIT 6/28/2021: Although I state this multiple times below, if you downvote the solution please tell me why in the comments section. You're not being helpful if you don't explain what the problem is. It may very well be something I can help you with, or could easily be some recent change Bungie made that I'm not aware of.

EDIT 1/24/2021: Due to the length of the solution, and how much scrolling a person needs to do to get to a certain seal, I've added spoiler tags for each of the six below. Although nothing is a spoiler per se, this should hopefully make it easier to find the guide to the specific seal you're looking for without scrolling forever.

Hello everyone, and welcome to this guide on how to earn the achievement Seal the Deal. There are plenty of other guides here that are pretty good in detailing what needs to be done for certain seals. My intention with this particular guide is to discuss each individual seal that you could earn in order to get the achievement, while taking into account changes from both Year 3, which saw the release of Shadowkeep, and particularly Year 4 of Destiny, which saw the release of Beyond Light. First off though, I want to make a few disclaimers.

***Please read these disclaimers prior to the guide! I have bolded the most important points. Specifically pay attention to points 3, 4 and 5. (Under a spoiler tag because there's so much scrolling otherwise. Sorry!)***

*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***

Please note!

That once you've completed all the triumphs for whichever title you chose to earn, that the achievement will not pop until you have claimed the title in game. To do that, simply head over to the Triumphs tab in your in-game menu, select the title you've completed, and then click on the title name located below the title emblem (in the bottom left of the screen) in order to claim the title, and then click it again to equip the title. If the achievement still doesn't pop after that, logging out of the game completely and then logging back in should do it.

That all being said, let’s dive into it! As the Chronicler and Wayfarer seals have been permanently removed from the game, they will be listed last. However, I'm still including them here regardless. Otherwise, we’ll just head through these alphabetically.

Thank you!
Thanks for stopping by this extensively long, detailed guide. Getting through it feels like Frodo getting rid of the One Ring –

But seriously, I hope this guide was useful in helping you get through one of these seals, whether you were using my text walkthrough or the sources I have linked above.
I’ve put a lot of time into making this guide, so I’d appreciate it if you could do me a favor now and leave an upvote or a comment down below to let me know what was or wasn’t helpful, or if there was anything that was confusing and could be rephrased.
If you’re going to downvote the guide, then before you do please let me know in the comments why. Chances are pretty good that it’s something I can help you with. If you don’t let me know, then I can’t make the necessary changes to help out some future player(s) who may encounter the same problem(s) you did.
